Information for the Wholesaler :

Kalanchoe is an all year-round product. See also this week's wholesale prices DUTCH PLANT PRICES
The recommended transport and storage temperature is around 10 degrees Celcius
Between 14 and 20 degrees of Celcius the condition of the plants will remain satisfactory for a maximum of one week.
Combined transport in temperatures of above 15 degrees Celcius are thus feasible.
In other respects too, Kalanchoe presents few problems in transit and storage.
Avoid draughts and severe temperature fluctuations.

Information for the Retailer :

Kalanchoe is available throughout the year.
Do not store the plants in temperatures below 10 degrees Celcius.
In summer keep the soil-ball moderately moist.
Kalanchoe's are strong plants, requiring relatively little attention. Avoid draughts and severe temperature variations.

Information for the Consumer :

Kalanchoes should be growing in a sunny window. They need only be protected against the bright midday sun. All species grow well in normal room temperatures.
In winter should be given a winter rest period.
Watering; During the active growth period water sparingly - just enough to keep the potting mixture moist, allowing the top of the mixture to dry out between waterings.
During the rest period give only enough water to keep the mixture from drying out.
Flowering Kalanchoe's are available in many colours, as are hanging ( Tessa - Wendy ) forms and plants with unusually coloured foliage

Tips during transport :

The recommended temperature in transit is 10 degrees Celcius.
Careful with unloading the plants out of the lorry, some Kalanchoe are top heavy.
No immediate problems will arise in higher temperatures up to 18 degrees Celcius.
In transit Kalanchoe is not easily damaged, but rough treatment may result in split foliage.
