Information for the Wholesaler :
Saintpaulia is an all year-round product. See also this week's wholesale prices DUTCH PLANT PRICES
Optimum transport and storage temperature 15-20 degrees Celcius.
In the case of prolonged storage unpack the plants.
Restrict the transit phase as much as possible, preferably not more than 2-3 days.
White flowers in particular are easily damaged in transit. Remove damaged flowers in order to maintain the decorative value.
Do not water packed plants.
Avoid draughts.

Information for the Retailer :
Saintpaulia is available throughout the year.
In the case of prolonged storage ( longer than a few days ), unpack the plants.
Take into account that the plant have already been wrapped for some time.
Optimum storage temperature 15-20 degrees Celcius.
Never water packed plants; they are easly stained.
Do not place Saintpaulia in full sun. Avoide draught. Remove faded flowers
Regularly water with tepid water, but keep the soil-ball on thre dry side.
A number of plants in different colours displayed together in a plant container will encourage sales.

Information for the Consumer :
Do not place Saintpaulia in full sun, not even at midday sunlight, if the light is filtered. Saintpaulia grow well in artificial light.
Water regularly but sparingly, enough to make the potting soil moist at each watering, but allowing the top 1st centimeter of the potting soil to dry out before watering again. Water must be at room temperature
Never water on the foliage. Evaporating drops of water on the hairy leaves cause ugly stains.
Feed once a month, equal qmount of nitrogen, phosphate and potash.
Regularly remove fade flowers to encourage even more profuse flowering. Continue to care for the plants after they have ceased flowering.
After a time flowers will be produced.
Saintpaulis will thrive in a normal livingroom temperature. If the room temperature falls below 15 degrees Celcius, 60 degrees of Fahrenheid for more than two days reduce the frequency of watering.
Too much water at any time can cause the roots of Saintpaulis to rot.
Try combine a few plants in various colours in one container or basket.

Information during transport :
Saintpaulia is fairly sensitive to damage during transport.
The optimum temperature in transit lies between 15-20 degress Celcius ( 60-70 Degrees Faherenheit )
Lower temperatures will readily cause damage. Excessive temperatures also create problems.
Never water packed plants.
Do not allow the plant to be in transit for more than 2-3 days. The shorter the better !.
